How To Accessorize Or Where To Wear A Long Tube Top Side-Slit Maxi Dress?

I love wearing long tube top maxi dresses during the summer season and here’s why… it’s comfortable, stylish, feminine and it is the best outfit to get that strapless shoulder sun tan that I’ve been waiting for!

The maxi dress trend was born in the 1970’s and it continues to be the hottest ‘2015 Street Style Trend’ from Instagram’s stylish fashion-bloggers to every major celebrity including Kate Moss, Diane Kruger, Kim Kardashian, Camila McConaughey, Anna Faris and the list goes on.

Nothing is sexier than a pair of bare shoulders revealing those collar bones and long necks. A maxi dress has the powers to make you look effortless fashionable, polished sexy, and casual-boho-chic! Additionally, the sexy meets casual-chic dress is also perfect for any body size and type including expecting moms.

Basically, the long straples side-slit maxi dress is the “IT” look for this summer! So, next time you opt to look fashionable during those hot summer days do keep those naked shoulders bare along with free-to-kiss necks by wearing a long strapless maxi dress.

Maxi dress is just as versatile as a plain T shirt and can be worn anytime and anywhere. You can wear a maxi dress to the beach, on a cruise, a casual day out, to a lunch date to the mall, a backyard birthday party and a meeting, yes a meeting, with a jacket or a blazer over it. There are so many fun looks you can create with a maxi dress.

Here are some of my favorite ways to accessorize a strapless maxi dress.

  1. Combine your strapless maxi dress with a denim jacket, cardigan or even a leather jacket and flat sandals.
  2. Wearing a ’70’s style wedges.
  3. Eye catching handbag for a pop of color.
  4. Accessorize with a long or short statement necklace.
  5. And if you are not a necklace gal opt for hoop earrings.
  6. You can always add a stylish belt to your look preferably a thin belt to accentuate your waist.
  7. Add a light summerish scarf.
  8. Another favorite accessory of mine for this look is a wide-brimmed straw hat.
  9. Pair of aviator sunglasses and brown bonds is also a great addition to this outfit.

Lastly, if you are a minimalist just skip all the jewelry and accessories and just step out in your favorite tube-top maxi dress.

Here’s one of my favorite looks from this summer that I wore couple of days ago during the heat wave {112 degrees, nope I’m not kidding it was extremely hot} — a neon pink tube top side-slit maxi dress with oversized sunglasses and a messy high-bun hairstyle.
